iPhone fan-boys are on fire. Yesterday, we reported that Ufone is all ready to launch the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus
in Pakistan. The smartphones are expected to be available from 11th
December, 2014 but Ufone already started the pre-order process
yesterday.
In the first 12 hours of the announcement, Ufone received a
staggering 2,000 plus pre-orders. That is one order every 20 seconds.
Considering that the iPhones are high-end premium smartphones which are
expected to cost over 80,000 PKR, this is an impressive feat to say the
least.
Apple product launches are always a big deal but this time, carriers
like Ufone are reportedly going to offer accidental warranty coverage
and replacement plans which might have convinced even more people to
sign up.

The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus are unique products since this is the
first time that Apple has changed its mantra on bigger displays on
smartphones. The iPhone 6 comes with a 4.7 inch screen while the iPhone 6
Plus is firmly in the phablet territory with a 5.5 inch 1080p display.
Android might have the market share and it’s own fans but when it
comes to adoption for new devices, few can match Apple and this news
just highlights that fact.
