After 3G, 4G and LTE launch here comes Burq Broadband, Pakistan’s first WiFi broadband service provider, has launched its first franchise in Peshawar.

Burq Broadband is a part of Argentina based ICONDOR Telecom Group — located in Argentina, Brazil, Paraguay and Uruguay since the early 80’s — Burq aim is to provide broadband services to customers through WiFi.

Burq Broadband is present in one part of Rawalpindi but Burq’s major coverage focus is on Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and its first franchise launch in Peshawar also shows company’s interest and focus towards Khyber Pakhtunkhwa development.

CEO of Burq Broadband, Mr. Shahid Mir, while addressing the audience on the occasion said some magic words:
We have selected one part of the town of Peshawar i.e. Warsak Road where as a Management we felt people need a quality, reliable, affordable and a stable internet service, if money was the only aim & objective we could have started from a much higher income strata area like Hayatabad.
I can assure The Burq’s Management commitment, aim and desire for further expansion of broadband to other parts of Pakistan and hence investment in near future.
