A gang of three robbers named Huma, Rehman and Ismail used OLX to access wealthy homes in Karachi. After getting all the information they needed they pretended like they are buyers and then robbed the house with everything they can escape with, now this group is in the custody of Karachi police. Their method of attempting robbery was to get property information from sellers and then executing their operation after 2 days.

SSP investigation Zulfiqar Mehar said that they are not only robbers, they admitted themselves and showed their involvement in weapon dealings after we recovered different weapons and stolen items from their territory. Criminal activities and street crimes like mobile and wallet snatching are increasing day by day in Karachi and no of registered FIR are few. Why?

The answer is that people don’t have trust on judicial process so only few people register FIR. Government should take fast steps to deal with such criminal groups, as the operation has already been started in Karachi but still the ratio of such criminal acts is increasing.

We suggest those people who sell their stuff on OLX must not show that they have expensive items to sell and be very careful and think again after this news that mentioning home address is safe or not.
