A year ago, VAIO laptops were manufactured under Sony but Sony sold VAIO laptop computers department to a Japanese partner called Japan Industrial Partners (JIP), after a year period VAIO has just announced VAIO Z and VAIO Z Canvas.

VAIO Z and VAIO Z Canvas are convertible hybrids, means you can convert them into tablets and to a laptop by attaching a keyboard, detachable keyboard is cheaper, smaller and light in weight.



VAIO Z comes with a 13.3 inch display in two variants, Intel i5 or Intel i7 processors, body of aluminium carbon shell and with SSD drives VAIO experts says can boot VAIO machine from standby in just 0.3 seconds, that really amazing. A hinge at the center of its back makes it really comfortable to use and to turn display. VAIO is calling this series “Monster PC”, they are also claiming that draining of battery power is not so fast so it makes VAIO Z to last for 15.5 hours of battery life, this battery life is so far best from VAIO.

The VAIO Z canvas is a “Monster Tablet”, comes with12.3 inch display, powered by Intel i7 processor, a 256 SSD (Solid State Drive), 16GB of RAM on-board memory. Like VAIO Z it can also transform itself into a tablet or a laptop with the help of a detachable keyboard.
VAIO is now accepting VAIO Z Ultrabook pre-orders from today starting in Japan for $1.600, pre-orders for VAIO Z Canvas are expected lately in May of this 2015.


It’s really a great news for VAIO lovers to see VAIO is now back, but now VAIO is missing the SONY label.
